Social Media Post

I selected one of the most popular Northern Light images in the Northwest Territories for this post. I created a Call to Action (CTA) to grab the audience’s attention, as the public loves to use promo codes to get a good deal. The CTA will help the Northwest Territories company increase its sales. CTA is an essential part of a social media post because it can help to grow the NWT business.

Website Design

This website was designed for a Northwest Territories tourism organization. The style is modern with an easy-to-navigate design. This website has a simple layout for easy accessibility, keeping the target audience in mind. I chose that particular Northern Light image because it matches the green header making it look more attractive.

Magazine Design

It’s essential to keep the simple, exciting sentences and have two large images to help the audience grab their attention—no one likes to read a long paragraph and not have a unique photograph. The audience might be bored and likely to skip the page quickly, so remember that having a fun image and short body copy is essential if you want your audience to stare at that page for a long time. That magazine has a CTA; if the audience is interested in learning about NWT, the website is available on the bottom left of the page. I chose the purple background of the title because it matched the image of the purple sky to make it look attractive.   

Brochure Design

  • Used the primary colour palette

  • Imagery is extremely attractive and makes the audience want to know more

  • Kept type brief so the images could be the main focus of the brochure

  • The map is designed to show all necessities while travelling as well as activities of sites to see making it easy for tourists to get around

Mural Design

  • A bright and beautiful image of the Arora Borealis was used to catch the eye of the viewer.

  • The logo of the province and the travel agency were included so the viewer could learn more if interested.

  • I used Nelson Bold for the heading typeface.

Style Guide

  • Bright and fun colours that relate to the northern lights were used in this design.

  • The buffalo is a very respected animal in the Northwest Territories. They can be found in the Northwest Territories National Park, and that is why I found it fitting to use the buffalo image in the logo.

  • I used a Serif font in both logos and the imagery.
